Simply… Joy in a Cup!

This is the motto at Eda’s Italian Ice in Marysville, Ohio, and I could not agree more! I love coming here in the summer, to pick out a delicious flavor combo and sit in the glorious sun while I enJOY this moment of succulent bliss!

A little bit about Eda’s

What is Italian Ice?  It is a smooth light and finely granulated frozen dessert made with fruit (often from concentrates, juices, or purées) or other natural or artificial food flavorings,  Some people say it is similar to sorbet. (BUT I say it is MUCH better!) It is copied from the Sicilian granita, a similar dessert that was brought by Italian immigrants to the United States.

What is Gelato? Gelato is a popular frozen dessert from Italy. It is generally made with a base of 3.25% milk and sugar and is lower in fat than other styles of frozen desserts. (THANK YOU!) Eda’s Gelato makes a statement with its amazingly creamy texture and they told me it is 90% fat-free. Hello! Can I add another scoop?!?
