Taggerts in @visitcanton has been a Canton institu Taggerts in @visitcanton has been a Canton institution since 1926! While we were in Canton the locals told us we had to stop and try it. I am so glad we did. They are known for the Bittner but we went with the Apple Dumpling Sundae and Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Sundae! Crowne Plaza-Union Station 🚂 Details below🚂 We have always wanted to stay in these train cars since we first saw them way back when and so we were so excited to be able to finally stay! Located in a historic National Register train station, this hotel offers 273 rooms and has most of the original structure still visible. But the Crown Jewels of this historic hotel are the 26 rooms in the authentic 1920’s Pullman sleepers that are still on their original tracks! Opening the narrow door to the room leads you to a completely up to date lodging experience. We elected for the king sleeper which had in room coffee, wi-fi, cable tv, a desk, and a comfortable seating area for two. Interspersed throughout the hotel are statues of wood-be travelers, baggage handlers, and even some mischievous boys trying to ride the rails. If you are looking for a historic stay located in the heart of Indianapolis and within walking distance to the convention center, check out the Crowne Plaza-Indianapolis Union Station. 🚨Hidden Gem Alert 🚨 Tappan Lakeside Resort 🚨Hidden Gem Alert 🚨 Tappan Lakeside Resort Trust me when I tell you that this lakeside resort is aaaamazing! Matt and I were invited to come and stay after I met the owners at a book signing for one of my books. Blown away! The moment I drove into the parking lot, my stress level went down by 100. We booked the Yellowstone Cabin. As I opened the door and walked in, I was taken in by the rustic style, cabin smells, and THE VIEW! I knew we wanted to just sit back and enjoy the cabin, so we brought dinner and ordered the charcuterie board. We purchased a bottle of wine before we headed up to the cabin from the well-stocked store. The kitchen is filled with everything you will need, and the whole cabin is cozy! It's still chilly here in Ohio, so the hot tub was a real winner to top off our evening before heading to bed. Matt hit the hot tub one more time before we had to leave the next morning! I can HIGHLY recommend these cabins to you. Book one of the bigger ones because they are the BEST! If you have bought my book 100 Things to Do in Ohio's Amish Country Before You Die, and you are headed over that way, these cabins are about 40 minutes from Berlin, Ohio. Happy Road Trips!
