Open from April through December, Moreland Fruit Farm is a genuine working farm. From May to mid-October, families can pick their own strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, grapes, peaches (when available), apples, and pumpkins. The fun doesn’t stop in the fields; there’s also a petting zoo, a small playground, and a farm market brimming with Amish-made baked goods, freshly harvested fruits and vegetables, local honey, cider, and fresh-cut flowers when in season. It’s the kind of place where every visit feels like a slice of country life.
A Family Rooted in Faith and Farming
Emanuel Miller’s passion for farming runs deep. His earliest memories are of helping on the family farm, guiding horses through the fields, and learning the satisfaction that comes from working the land. Later in life, he felt called back to his roots and to what truly mattered, spending time with family and tending the soil.
In 2018, that dream became reality when the Millers purchased Moreland Fruit Farm, a community staple since the 1920s. Here on the farm, they still rely on horse-drawn plows instead of heavy machinery, staying true to their Amish values of simplicity, stewardship, and hard work.
