Where to Camp in Coshcoton, Ohio
Settled into the gorgeous rolling hills of Coshocton County is the beautiful Coshocton KOA Campground. A place where you can find rest and relaxation and perfect spots for your evening campfires. We were thrilled when we pulled into the Coshocton KOA and were met with the sights of the sun reflecting off the water of the large pool and meticulously landscaped sites.
The Coshocton KOA is located a short 1-hour drive from the Columbus metro area and is located off of County Rd 10. Finding this KOA is easy and is situated right off of the main route going through Coshocton. Upon arrival, they have a check-in lane where you will park and go into the store for your welcome packet. The front desk is staffed with the friendliest people, and we made new friends here quickly!
Since this area is surrounded by the rich history of canal days gone by, you can be prepared to enjoy everything Coshocton has to offer from your base camp here at the KOA. Even when sitting at your campsite, you can drink in the green hillsides, freshly planted fields, and the sounds of nature all around you. FULL DISCLOSER: Visit Coshocton hosted us.
Camping at Coshocton KOA
The Coshocton KOA is a small-sized campground offering fewer than 50 sites. Campsites vary in size and amenities, with the most high-end option being KOA’s new deluxe patio sites. We chose one of these and were not disappointed. Our site #17 was gorgeous and spacious. It came complete with chairs, a fire pit, and around picnic table divided into two zones–a fire pit area and a picnic area. We drank in views of the rolling hills and deep rich green farm fields from our zero gravity chairs.
The other pull-thru and back-in sites also looked very nice and reasonably sized. They are continuing to upgrade every area of this campground, and I would camp in any spot they had available here.
Coshocton KOA amenities
Coshocton KOA is smaller, but we found it had HUGE amenities and was just right for its size, quite honestly, it is one of the nicer campgrounds we’ve ever had the pleasure of camping at. They offer amazing themed weekends, a well-stocked store, and a fantastic pool. The Gleason kids spent EVERY night swimming in the brand new pool area. Marco Polo and sunning ourselves was a perfect way to end a day of site seeing in Coshocton County!
